The double-end grinding machine is a highly efficient machine used for surface machining.

One machining process has the ability to grind two parallel end faces at the same time. This process is categorized into two types, based on their structure: horizontal and vertical double end grinding machines.
Additionally, based on the feeding method, it can be classified into three types: through type, rotary type, and reciprocating type. These products are widely utilized in various industries, such as automobile and motorcycle, bearings, and magnetic materials, due to their high precision and production efficiency.
These machines can process a variety of materials, including but not limited to: piston pins, piston rings, valve gaskets, connecting rods, cross shafts, valve plates, shift forks, hydraulic pump blades, rotors, stators, compressor slides, bearing inner rings and rollers, magnetic rings in the electronics industry, magnetic steel sheets, and graphite sheets.
Double end grinding machine origin
In the 1950s, China received technological support from the former Soviet Union, which led to the production of double-end grinders with both horizontal and vertical structures designed exclusively for grinding piston rings. Chinese researchers later developed double-end grinding machines for bearings based on the characteristics of bearing rings.
However, the construction and features of the grinding machines varied among different manufacturers.
During this period, the double-face grinding machine rapidly evolved in the bearing industry.
In the 1990s, China’s economic development entered the fast lane, resulting in the creation of high-precision CNC operating system grinding machines such as MK7650, MKY7660, and MK7675. These innovations enabled the original double-face grinding machine to improve in terms of variety and processing accuracy.
Double end grinding machine description
With the rapid development of China’s machinery industry in the 21st century, many imported parts and components have been replaced by domestically developed ones. This includes high-precision automotive parts like oil pump blades and compressor slides.
These parts are also widely applicable in double-end grinding machine processing. Specifically, the size of the sliding plate is ground using cubic boron nitride grinding wheels to ensure the product meets the technical requirements for coarse grinding. The parallel difference is ≤0.005, the flatness is ≤0.003, and the verticality is ≤0.02.
To enhance production efficiency, an automatic feeding device is equipped, and the production capacity exceeds 70,000 pieces. This ensures consistent adherence to product size requirements, leading to its widespread adoption by many customers.
