How the Eccentric Gear Works

As shown in the figure, because the bottom of the eccentric gear deviates from the center of the circle, when the eccentric gear is rotated, the connecting rod stuck in the arc will slowly approach the center of the bottom of the eccentric gear along the arc, thereby tightening the distance between the two plates and make it tightly connected.

The “eccentric connector” is named after it.

Classification

a) According to the shape, it can be divided into two types:

  • Cross recessed eccentric gear
  • Cross and hexagonal eccentric gear

Note: This type of eccentric can be installed with Phillips screwdriver, slotted screwdriver or hex wrench.

b) According to the shape results, it can be divided into two types:

  • External tooth eccentric gear
  • Toothless eccentric gear

Note: The characteristic of the tooth eccentric gear is that the three-in-one is fastened after being assembled, and there is no backward phenomenon.

There are two types of internal bayonet shapes:

  • Ball, with a screw head;
  • Curved, with teeth, with square rod head
