The workbench consists of a base and a pressing plate, which is placed on a support.

The base is connected to the clamping plate via a hinge and is composed of a seat shell, a coil, and a cover plate. The coil is placed inside a recess in the housing, which is covered by a top cover.

During operation, the coil is energized by a wire, generating gravity on the pressing plate and clamping the thin plate between the pressing plate and the base. Thanks to the electromagnetic clamping, the pressing plate can be formed into a workpiece with various requirements, and workpieces with side walls can be processed.

Structure and characteristics

The machine features an all-steel welded structure with ample strength and rigidity.

It utilizes hydraulic transmission, with oil cylinders placed at both ends of the machine, driving the sliding work directly from the ram.

The ram synchronization mechanism employs a torsion axis to ensure forced synchronization.

The machine adopts a mechanical block structure that is both stable and reliable.

The ram stroke can be maneuvered quickly, with manual fine-tuning and a counter display.

An oblique wedge crowning mechanism is employed to guarantee high bending accuracy.

Operation instructions

We will briefly introduce the process of using an ordinary hydraulic bending press machine to bend Q235 sheet.

(1) First, turn on the power and key switch on the control panel. Then, press the oil pump to start, and you will hear the sound of the oil pump. Note that the machine does not work at this time.

(2) Stroke Adjustment:

When using the bending press machine, it is crucial to adjust the stroke and test the running before bending. When the upper die of the bending machine descends to the bottom, it must ensure a gap in the thickness of the plate; otherwise, it may cause damage to the mold and the machine. The stroke adjustment is equipped with both electric quick adjustment and manual fine adjustment.

(3) Bending Vee Opening Width Selection:

Choose a notch with a width of eight times the thickness of the plate. For a sheet with a thickness of 4 mm, a notch of approximately 32 mm is required.

(4) Back Gauge Adjustment:

There are electric quick adjustment and manual fine adjustment for back gauge adjustment, and the method is the same as the shearing machine.

(5) Step on the Foot Switch to Start Bending:

Unlike the shearing machine, the bending machine can be loosened at any time. After the foot is released, the bending machine will stop. Press the foot switch again, and the upper die of the bending machine will continue to descend.


Before performing maintenance work, ensure that the upper die is aligned with the lower die and turn off the machine. If the machine needs to be turned on for any reason, select manual mode, and ensure that safety measures are in place.

The following maintenance procedures should be followed:

Hydraulic oil circuit:

Check the oil level of the fuel tank weekly, and refill the hydraulic oil when the oil level is lower than the oil window after repairing the hydraulic system. Use ISO HM46 or MOBIL DTE25 hydraulic oil in the machine. Change the oil after 2000 hours of work and every 4000-6000 hours of operation. Clean the oil tank each time the oil is changed. Ensure that the system oil temperature remains between 35°C and 60°C and does not exceed 70°C, as high temperatures can deteriorate the oil quality and accessories.

Replace or clean the filter each time the oil is changed. If related alarms are triggered or the oil quality is poor, causing the filter to malfunction, replace it immediately. Inspect and clean the air filter on the fuel tank every 3 months, preferably annually.

Hydraulic components:

Clean the hydraulic components such as substrates, valves, motors, pumps, tubing, etc., each month to prevent dirt from entering the system. Do not use detergents. Check the bend of each tubing for deformation after using the new machine for one month, and replace it if there is any abnormality. Tighten the joints of all accessories after two months of use. Shut down the machine when performing this task to ensure that the system is stress-free.
