A shearing machine is a machine that cuts a sheet by moving one blade back and forth relative to the other blade with a reciprocating linear motion.

The shearing machine uses a moving upper blade and a stationary lower blade to apply a shearing force to metal sheets of varying thicknesses by adjusting the blade gap to the appropriate size. This process breaks the sheets into the desired size.
The shearing machine is a type of forging machinery, primarily used in the metal processing industry.
It is widely used in industries such as aviation, light industry, metallurgy, chemicals, construction, shipbuilding, automobiles, electric power, electrical appliances, and decoration.
Main classification
Special Shearing Machines
Special shearing machines are often used in conjunction with other equipment to achieve specific purposes.
(1) Cold Bending Forming Linear Shearing Machine:
For instance, this type of special shearing machine is used in production lines such as the car longitudinal beam cold bend line, car side baffle production line, and color steel plate forming line.
(2) Steel Structure Production Line Shearing Machine:
This machine is primarily used in the automatic production line for angle steel and H-beam to complete the cutting process.
(3) Sheet Open Line Shearing Machine:
This machine is used in the high-speed shearing machine on the plate unwinding leveling line to meet the fast cutting requirements of the production line.
Most thick plate lines use hydraulic high-speed shearing machines, while thin plate lines use pneumatic shearing machines. High-speed lines use flying shears, which provide high efficiency in continuous production.
Inclined Blade Shearing Machine
In an inclined blade shearing machine, the upper and lower blades are angled.
Typically, the blades have an inclination angle of 1° to 6°.
Compared to a flat blade shearing machine, the inclined blade shearing machine has a lower shearing force, which leads to a reduction in motor power and machine weight, making it the most practical and widely used type of shearing machine.
Most shearing machine manufacturers produce this type of shearing machine.
Flat Blade Shearing Machine
A flat blade shearing machine provides good shearing quality with minimal distortion, but requires a high shearing force and consumes a significant amount of energy.
It relies more on mechanical transmission.
The upper and lower blades of this type of shearing machine are parallel to each other and are commonly used for hot-shearing rolling of billets and slabs in rolling mills.
It can be further divided into upper cut type and lower cut type based on the cutting method.
Multi-Purpose Shearing Machine
(1) Ironworker Machine:
This machine is capable of cutting sheets and profiles and is primarily used for blanking processes.
(2) Sheet Bending and Shearing Machine:
This machine can perform both the cutting and bending processes on the same machine.
