Shenyang Machine Tool Co., Ltd. (referred to as “the company” hereafter) is a joint venture sponsored by Shenyang No.1 Machine Tool Factory, Zhongjie friendship factory and Liaoning precision instrument factory. It was established in May 1993 and received approval from the Shenyang Economic System Reform Commission in document number 199231.
In July 1996, the company issued 54 million yuan of common shares to the public with the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) sfsz No. 1996112. As a result, the company’s total share capital was 215823518 yuan and it was listed and traded on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
The company is a subsidiary of Shenyang Machine Tool (Group) Co., Ltd. and was founded in 1935 as the Shenyang No.1 Machine Tool Factory. Over the past 60 years, through continuous technological transformation and innovation, it has become the largest comprehensive machine tool manufacturer and national CNC machine tool development and manufacturing base in China.
The factory has provided nearly 300,000 sets of metal cutting equipment for both domestic and foreign manufacturing industries and is well-known for its excellent quality. In 1997, the factory won the bid for the industrialization project of CNC machine tools in the “Ninth Five-Year Plan key scientific and technological research” and became the national key CNC machine tool production base. The CAK series CNC machine tools produced by the factory were also rated as famous brand products of the machinery industry by the Ministry of the Machinery Industry in the same year.
The factory has successfully transitioned from an ordinary lathe to a CNC lathe as its leading product, and the output value of CNC products accounts for over 60% of its total annual output value. Since 2000, the company has experienced rapid growth for seven consecutive years, with its sales revenue increasing 11 times and its machine tool output increasing 11 times.
The medium and high-end CNC machine tools have been introduced into the core manufacturing fields of national key industries and have accounted for over 70% of the total sales volume of CNC machine tools in industries such as automobiles, national defense and military, aerospace, and more. The company has the ability to provide complete sets of technical equipment for national key projects and has supplied four-track beam processing production lines for the Shanghai maglev train project, indicating that the R&D and manufacturing capacity of Shenyang Machine Tool has reached an international advanced level.
The company has also successfully provided four production lines of engine cylinder blocks and cylinder heads for Chery Automobile, marking the first entry of domestic high-end CNC machine tools into the core manufacturing field of automobile parts and ending the monopoly of foreign manufacturers in this field.
Since 2010, Shenyang Machine Tool Co., Ltd. has been focusing on using new technology and materials to improve product quality.
The CNC turret branch of Shenyang Machine Tool Co., Ltd. successfully replaced the zqsn6-6-3 copper alloy with the Microcrystalline Alloy lza4205 worm gear special material, which improved the quality of its CNC turret products, controlled costs, and greatly enhanced the competitiveness of the company.
The relocation of the Shenyang CNC Machine Tool Industrial Park has been completed and a professional restructuring has been achieved. Currently, there are nine complete machine enterprises operating in the park, including Shenyang No.1 Machine Tool Factory, Zhongjie Machine Tool Co., Ltd., Shenyi Lathe Factory, Zhongjie Drilling and Boring Machine Factory, Shenyi Heath CNC Machine Tool Business Department, Zhongjie Vertical Machining Center Business Department, Complete Equipment Co., Ltd., Laser Technology Business Department, and FIDIA CNC Machine Tool Co., Ltd.
Through professional restructuring, business process reengineering, and comprehensive information construction, Shenyang CNC Machine Tool Industrial Park will eventually become the largest and most modern single CNC machine tool manufacturing base in the world.
